Changelog

What's new in the SMSKit platform and the Android Gateway app.

v1.0.4

Gateway app 2026-10-13
  • • Archiving now keeps new phone SMS and contact changes synced after you opt in. Separate SMS and contact progress shows scans, acknowledged uploads and pending work. Older messages remain a manual import.
  • • Setup explains permissions before Android asks and links to help for blocked access. Both builds target Android 16. The Play build uses Android's battery settings list.

v1.0.3

Gateway app replacement 2026-10-10
  • • Complete contact imports and safer retry handling. Replaces the APK under the same version.

v1.0.3

Gateway app 2026-10-08
  • • Updated SMSKit branding, API v1 support and connection handling.

v1.0.2

Gateway app 2026-06-26
  • • Two distribution channels from one codebase: Play build and signed direct-download APK, same signing key.
  • • Business SMS archival: opt-in import of a phone's existing inbox and sent history.
  • • Stability and battery-survival improvements for the 24/7 foreground service.
